Uber launches its flagship partner support center in Karachi

Uber has launched its flagship partner support center also known as Greenlight Hub (GLH) in Karachi to onboard new driver partners on the app, in addition to providing in person support to current partners, who will benefit from a fixed destination for all questions, comments and inquiries related to the driving experience. Launch of the flagship partner support center showcases Uber’s desire to increase its footprint in Pakistan on the back of exponential growth.

The launch ceremony was attended by a host of Uber’s top management including Safee Shah – GM Pakistan, Maurits Schonfeld – Head of MEA Community Operations, Ibrar Javed – Senior Community Operations Manager, Hasan Arshad – Head of Policy and Omar Askari – Head of Business Development and along with driver partners.

The global app seamlessly connecting riders to drivers will now be able to serve more driver partners on a daily basis through its flagship partner support center in Karachi.

“We have seen extraordinary growth in the last year or so, which has prompted more driver partners to join the Uber network,” said Safee Shah, GM Pakistan. “This flagship partner support center is one of the largest in the region and can serve hundreds of driver partners on any given day. It is a testament to the positive impact our technology has had in Karachi and in our commitment to Pakistan, as a prime market for Uber.”

This will oversee partner on-boarding process, which also includes information sessions for interested drivers, on-the-spot on-boarding and activation of new partners, and full circle support services for existing partners. All new drivers must also take a session on ‘Dignity at Work’ training designed in partnership with Kashf Foundation which is part of Uber’s global initiative to help prevent harassment. The centre is open 7 hours a day on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends, operates 7 days a week, and is busy around the clock.
