The reunion of Junoon to rock Karachi tonight

Karachi is going to rock tonight with a bang as Junoon, after 13 years, is all set to perform on stage. With this reunion of the famous band, the long wait of the fans has finally over at Karachi’s DHA Sports Club (Moin Khan Academy) this evening.

The much-awaited reunion of Junoon in the concert “Sooper Hai Pakistan ka Junoon” will give Karachi a night to remember as the soulful music and all-time-hit performance of the trio is definitely going to set the stage on fire.

The musical band was founded by Salman Ahmad in 1990 in Lahore and the Sufi rock band Junoon released multiple albums together and performed all over the world.

In 2005, the band split with the Brian O’Connell return to the United States and that lead vocalist Ali Azmat and guitarist/vocalist Ahmad went their separate ways to launch solo careers.

But this time, after a gap of 13 years, it’s not just the fans that can’t wait for the reunion; the band members are equally keen to make their return to rock.

In an interview, the vocalist of the band Ahmad said that, “Unity, faith and discipline, that’s the message we want to give [to our fans]”.

Bassist Brian O’Connell said the band is practicing hard to put on a fantastic show.

“We want to give the fans a really good show, and that’s exactly what we are practicing for. I’ve missed the fans,” the New York-based musician said.

Apart of Junoon, Khumariyaan, Tamaasha, Lyari Underground, and Sounds of Kolachi will also be performing at the concert.
