Reflecting on the poor performance of Singh’s education sector, 83% of students from the board who took part in the Karachi University entry test, failed to clear it.
According to the report, 70% of A-graders could not achieve the desired 50% marks either.
This year KU 2020 BS Program hosted a total of 10,119 students from all over Pakistan out of which 2,453 belonged to the ‘S’ category (Sindh) – boards other than Karachi. 2,028 students out of these were unable to pass the entrance test in Pakistan’s biggest public sector institute.
From other parts of Pakistan, 49% of the 7,101 applicants belonging from the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) passed the entry test.
40% or 4,063 applicants from other parts of the country too successfully cleared the test.
