Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman announces release of 2,107 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia

Following his vist to Pakistan and meeting with the Prime Minister, the Crown Prince, Mohammad Bin Salman has ordered immediate release of Pakistani prisoners held in Saudi Arabia jails.

Further details came in from Shah Mehmood Qureshi who confirmed that the cases of other prisoners would also be sped up in KSA.

“HRH Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman has graciously agreed to free 2107 Pakistani prisoners in Saudi Arabia with immediate effect. Cases of the remaining will be reviewed. People of Pakistan thank HRH for responding immediately to Prime Minister Imran Khan’s request,” wrote Qureshi.

Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman arrived in Pakistan on a historic visit on Sunday. His Royal Highness was received by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and other top level government officials.

Along with major investments and signing several MoUs, Prime Minister Imran Khan also requested Mohammad Bin Salman to take special care of Pakistani residents in Saudi Arabia, calling them an important source of foreign exchange and holding them in high regard.

Responding to the premier’s request, the Crown Prince said he would not decline the request at all and special care would be taken of the Pakistanis working in his country.
