Shawwal Crescent was not sighted in Saudi Arabia on April 8 evening.
This means that the holy month of Ramadan will last 30 days this year, and Eid Al-Fitr will be celebrated across the Kingdom on Wednesday 10th April.
The official arrangements to sight the Shawwal crescent were made in Tumair.
Sunset at the main observatories of Sudair and Tumair was just after 18:15 (Makkah time).
Meanwhile, the public and private sector employees in Saudi Arabia will get a four-day holiday for Eid Al Fitr starting from Monday, April 8 (Ramadan 29, 1445), as announced by the Kingdom’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
Since Friday and Saturday are the official weekend days in the Kingdom, KSA residents will enjoy a six-day weekend. Employees will return to work on April 14 (Sunday).
