Education ministers’ meeting to decide schools’ closure has been postponed.
The meeting under the chair of Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood was to be held on Thursday at 11 am.
According to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, a meeting of education ministers from across Pakistan scheduled for today to decide on whether schools should stay open or not amid a surge in Omicron cases has been put off for later.
The notification issued from the education ministry said the 34th meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) will be held next week.
However, no reason for the postponement of the meeting was mentioned.
