Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood on Friday announced that the exams scheduled for March are being delayed till May and June.
In a social media post, the federal minister shared the details of his meeting with private school association representatives on reopening schools.
Minister informed that the schools and educational institutions can not be reopened against the advice of the ministry of health.
He added that the reopening of schools will be decided by the National Command and Control Centre.
“Hope infection rates go down so that we can open all educational institutions,” the minister said.
All educational institutions across the country were closed in November 2020 as the country witnesses its second wave of the coronavirus.
