Fawad Chaudhry released from Adiala Jail

Fawad Chaudhry was imprisoned in Adiala Jail on judicial remand in the NAB case related to land in Jhelum.

Fawad Chaudhry has been released from Adiala Jail.

According to jail sources, former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry was granted bail two days ago, after which he was released on Friday.

Former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader’s wife Hiba Chaudhry confirmed his release in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

Fawad Chaudhry had approached the Islamabad High Court for bail after his arrest, after which the Islamabad High Court ordered the release of the former federal minister on bail.

On April 1, the Islamabad High Court granted bail to Fawad Chaudhry in the Jhelum land scandal case, directing his release from custody.

This decision came following a bail plea hearing held by a division bench comprising Chief Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri.
