Flour prices in Punjab increased by Rs4 per kg

The Punjab Flour Mills Association has announced an increase in the price of flour by Rs4 per kilogram.

Now all over Punjab, the flour will cost Rs64 per kg.

According to the flour mill owners, the increase in prices comes after the increase in petrol and electricity prices and as well as an increase in the cost of wheat.

A few of the customers have complained that some shopkeepers are selling their old flour stocks at the new price.

The prices of the essential commodities have started soaring once again. It was earlier when govt. announced the new petroleum product prices for the month of January, with an increase of Rs 2.61 per liter.

Similarly, the price of ghee has increased by Rs12 in one week.

The price of white lentils in the market has increased from Rs20,000 to Rs21,000 per 100 kilograms while the price of red lentils has increased from Rs9,500 to Rs10,500 500 per 40 kilograms.

The rate of black gram has increased from Rs13,000 to Rs14,000 per 100 kilograms. The price of red pepper has surged from 16,000 per 40 kilograms to Rs18,000, wheat from Rs1,550 to Rs1,750.

The rate for different pulses increased from Rs23,000 to Rs24,000 per 100 kilograms, while the rate for the split Bengal gram has increased from Rs12,000 to Rs14,000.
