Imran Khan writes to President Alvi to order inquiry against Gen (retd) Bajwa

Imran Khan seeks an 'immediate action' to be taken against ex-COAS.

Imran Khan has written a letter to President Dr Arif Alvi to order an inquiry against Gen (retd) Bajwa!

The party’s official Twitter handle has shared a copy of the letter written by PTI chairman Imran Khan asking President Arif Alvi to order an inquiry against former chief of army staff (COAS) General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa for his alleged violation of oath and the Constitution of Pakistan.

“Some very disturbing information has now come into the public domain whereby it is clear that Gen retd Bajwa as COAS violated his oath of office repeatedly,” the PTI chief stated in a letter.

The former premier, in the letter, stated that Gen Bajwa (retired) had “admitted to journalist Javed Chaudhry that we considered Imran Khan dangerous to the country if he continued to stay in power”.

Imran Khan went on to ask: “Who gave him the power to decide that an elected prime minister was supposedly a ‘danger to the country if he continued to stay in power’?”

“Only the people through elections can decide who they want to elect as the prime minister. Taking such a right on himself is in clear violation of his oath as given in Third Schedule Article 244 of the Constitution,” Imran Khan stated in the letter.
