Journalist turned YouTuber Imran Riaz Khan is reported to have been arrested from his residence in Lahore.
As reported, the arrest was made on Thursday night hours after he was summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency’s Cybercrime Wing for allegedly inciting hatred against judges of the Supreme Court.
Imran Riaz Khan’s brother, Usman Riaz, shared the news of his arrest on social media.
According to the news source, Imran Riaz Khan’s arrest comes after an investigation into a campaign against SC judges on social media.
According to reports, the main suspect has already been arrested.
As reported, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cybercrime Wing had summoned Youtubers Imran Riaz Khan and Asad Toor over their alleged involvement in an anti-judiciary campaign on social media platforms.
The two individuals have been directed to appear before the FIA Cybercrime Wing on February 23, following the issuance of formal notices by the agency.
Imran Riaz Khan has been called to the FIA office in Lahore, meanwhile, Asad Toor is required to appear at the FIA headquarters in Islamabad.
It is pertinent to mention here that Imran Riaz Khan was abducted by unknown men in May last year and his whereabouts remained unknown until he returned home in September.
