Thousands of Palestinians offer Eid al-Fitr prayers at Al–Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam, in occupied East Jerusalem on Wednesday.

As Israeli police barred some people from entering the compound, they prayed instead at the mosque’s outer gates.
