Earlier yesterday Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah had directed K-Electric to waive off electricity bills for the ongoing month as consumers face business closure and work leaves due to lockdown on the back of Coronavirus. However, the power supply company has refused to take the request into account and will not waive off the dues.
“Despite facing challenges, the K-Electric is providing uninterrupted power supply to the citizens. To ensure this, it is necessary to purchase fuel,” said a spokesperson for K-Electric.
