Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Karachi on a one-day visit on Saturday. He was received by Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah upon his arrival.
He is accompanied by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz and MNA Amir Mahmood Kayani.
The Prime Minister will announce the transformation plan for Karachi, which is expected to Rs802 billion worth of development projects.
Under the Prime Minister’s visit to Karachi, six projects of mass transit systems have also been announced for the metropolis. These projects will cost over Rs 447 billion. The Karachi Circular Railway project worth Rs 300 billion is also included in the plan.
After PM’s arrival, the Karachi Committee meeting underway at Governor House presided by PM Imran Khan. Governor Sindh, CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, Asad Umar, Saeed Ghani, and Nasir Hussain Shah are also in attendance at the meeting. Framework on developing a working relationship is being discussed
