The rain forecast for Karachi a day earlier came as an early Sunday blessing for a few parts of Karachi. Overcast, with few areas of Karachi received showers making Karachiites more than delighted. This means that winter will officially kick off in Karachi now as the temperature in the city has been fairly moderate for the last few weeks.
Light rain in scattered parts of Karachi has turned the weather pleasant, bringing the start of the much-awaited winter season in the city of lights. Airport, Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadid received light rain. Good rain was reported in DHA and Clifton area.
According to the Met Office, several parts of the country will receive rainfall during the next 24 hours. Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Makran, Dera Ismail Khan, Bannu, Kohat, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Sargodha, Gujranwala Division, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan may receive scattered rain.
