Balochistan National Party-Mengal President (BNP-M) Sardar Akhtar Mengal on Wednesday announced that his party is withdrawing from its alliance with the ruling PTI government.
While addressing the session of the National Assembly, he said: “I am officially announcing that our party is separating itself from the government. We will stay in parliament and will keep talking about issues.”
“If our demands were illegal and unconstitutional then we are ready to face even death. But then all those who have put their signatures on these accords should also face the same,” he further added.
The BNP-Mengal’s coalition with PTI was announced after General Election 2018.
Currently, BNP has four seats in National Assembly and one seat in Senate.
