Siblings who went missing from Karachi’s Nort Nazimabad area overnight, have returned home safely on Wednesday.
Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Central Zeeshan Siddiqui confirmed that the young boy and a girl, the siblings who went missing from outside their residence yesterday in the vicinity of North Nazimabad’s police station, have “safely returned to their home.”
SSP Siddiqui informed the news publication that the 12-year-old girl and the 11-year-old boy told the police in their statements that they left home on their own.
SSP added that he would personally meet the kids in a while to record their testimonies.
It was learned that the parents of the kids have been separated and a conflict is going on between them for the custody of their children.
According to the first information report filed at North Nazimabad’s police station against unidentified individuals. , the children had left the house at 11:55 pm.
SSP Siddiqui had earlier stated that the police were probing the incident from various aspects.
Meanwhile, the uncle of the children told the 12-year-old and 11-year-old had gone out of their house at around 11 pm on Tuesday.
The mother of the missing kids in an appeal post on social media said that her children had been missing from midnight last night.
“The kids went to buy burgers and there has been no information about their whereabouts since then,” she added.
The mother said that they searched the kids everywhere, however, they could not find them and the police have no information about their whereabouts either.
“I have separated from my husband for nine years and after our separation, he remarried and I moved to Dubai. I had left my kids to my mother for their education,” she said in the video message.
