Following India’s test of the supersonic Brahmos cruise missile, Pakistan, conducted a successful training launch of the Shaheen II surface to surface ballistic missile on Thursday.
“Successful training launch of the surface to surface ballistic missile Shaheen II conducted. Capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warheads up to a range of 1500 Km. Shaheen II fully meets Pak’s strat needs towards maintenance of desired deterrence stability in the region,” wrote DG ISPR, on the official Twitter handle.
The impact point of the test was Arabian Sea and was witnessed by the Director General Strategic Plans Division, Commander Army Strategic Forces Command, Chairman NESCOM, senior officers from the Army Strategic Forces Command and scientists and engineers from strategic organizations.
