Pakistan Cricket Team lands in Hyderabad, India in quest of World Cup 2023

Pakistan is scheduled to play their first warm-up match against New Zealand on September 29.

Pakistan Cricket Team landed in Hyderabad, India on Wednesday evening in quest of ICC World Cup 2023!

The Pakistan squad along with officials landed in Hyderabad, India at 8:15 pm (local time) on 27 September.

After a gap of 7 years, the Pakistan team has stepped on Indian soil to play cricket.

 

The national team departed from Lahore airport at 3.20 a.m. and made a brief stopover in Dubai before taking a flight to the Indian city of Hyderabad.

Pakistan’s travel contingent consists of 18 players and 13-player support personnel.

Pakistan team will take part in the training session the next day and is scheduled to play their first warm-up match against New Zealand on September 29.

Reports emerge that cricket fans at the Hyderabad Airport were told that they can’t raise Pakistani flags or slogans on the arrival of the Pakistan Cricket Team.

 

Captain Babar Azam requested cricket fans for prayers ahead of leaving for India.

“As we head for the World Cup, we seek prayers of all the Pakistan cricket team fans and well-wishers. I am certain that you will continue to extend your support and love, which you have always done. Pakistan Zindabad,” Babar wrote on his official X-handle.

After much delay on Monday, India finally issued visas to the Pakistan team ending uncertainty surrounding the Green Team’s participation in the most awaited tournament.

October 6 — vs Netherlands in Hyderabad

October 10 — vs Sri Lanka in Hyderabad

October 14 — vs India in Ahmedabad

October 20 — vs Australia in Bengaluru

October 23 — vs. Afghanistan in Chennai

October 27 — vs. South Africa in Chennai

October 31 — vs Bangladesh in Kolkata

November 4 — vs New Zealand Bengaluru (Day match)

November 11 — vs England in Kolkata

If Pakistan qualifies for the semi-finals, the match will be played in Kolkata.
If India qualifies for the semi-finals, they will play in Mumbai unless playing against Pakistan, in which case they will play in Kolkata.
The day matches will start at 10:00 a.m. Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The day-night fixtures will start at 01:30 pm (PST).
