Tiger Woods Hospitalized After Surviving A Severe Car Accident In Los Angeles

Tiger Woods has been hospitalized after surviving a severe car accident in Loss Angeles on Tuesday morning.

Woods’ team released an update on his condition on Tuesday evening,  writing that he is “awake, responsive, and recovering in his hospital room.”

Tiger Woods had multiple “open fractures” to the lower right leg; a rod placed in the tibia, screws, and pins in the ankle.

As being reported, the car crash happened after 7 a.m. local time, on the edge of Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes, Loss Angeles as Woods’s car rolled over.  While no other cars or people were involved in the accident.

According to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department. Firefighters and paramedics had to use a rescue tool to extract Tiger Woods from the vehicle. 

He was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center where he underwent surgery for his injuries.

“Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries,” his manager, Mark Steinberg, told the Associated Press.

“He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.”
