Adnan Siddiqui visit’s tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi in Sogut

Pakistan’s top actor Adnan Siddiqui is keeping his fans updated about his Turkish trip.

Earlier he shared that the met with the person behind the popular Turkish drama series Dirlis Ertugrul. and the latest we get to know that Adan had a chance to visit the tomb of the forefather of the Ottoman Empire Ertugrul Ghazi, situated in a small town of Bilecik province, Sogut in Turkey.

Those who have followed all the five seasons of the series would be familiar with the town on Sogut where Ertugrul Ghazi migrated to lay the foundation of a Muslim empire. And for those who say that the tv series is based on historic fiction only, that’s not the case overall.

Taking it to social media, Adnan Siddiqui shared a video about his trip.

Adnan captioned his post, saying, “The man who championed the cause of Islam, wished for a prosperous and safe state for Muslims and non-Muslims alike and whose regime was based on the tenets of justice and fair play”.

“I had expected a grand monument to celebrate the great Ertuğrul, a man of commanding authority, and a greater legacy — and here was a tomb that spoke volumes of the chief’s life but didn’t need to rely on grandiosity. Humbled,” he penned paying tribute to Ertugrul Ghazi.

It was five years ago Sogut came under the spotlight of international audience as Turkish TV series Dirilis Ertugrul (Resurrection Erturgul) was aired acrossthe globe.

Eversince, the series has inspired many to visit this place.

Outside the tomb are the graves of the Kayi Tribe leader’s wife, Haleeme Hatun, his second son, Savci Bey, and 19 honorary graves of Ertugrul Gazi’s friends and his close Alps known as Kayi warriors.

Ertugrul Ghjazi (1188-1281), was the head of a nomad tribe named Kayi and father of Osman, the Ottoman Empire’s first sultan –– established his first principality in the 13th Century, sowing the seeds of an empire that lasted for the next 600 years.
