The US has suspended the flight operations of PIA to and from its airports immediately, reads the statement.
The ban comes after Federal Aviation Minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan said last month that a formal review had found that 262 out of a total of 860 active pilots were holding dubious licenses or had cheated in exams.
Earlier on June 30, European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) had also suspend Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight operations for Europe over safety concerns for six months.
