Don 3 is not happening, clarifies Farhan Akhtar

It was being rumored that Shahrukh Khan would star in the Rakesh Sharma biopic and then about his exit from the project. Producer Ronnie Screwvala was asked about the rumours of Shah Rukh walking out of the Rakesh Sharma biopic. He said, “We are not ready to say anything right now.” more or less confirming Khan’s exit from the film.

Amongst these, came in rounds of news that SRK would be focusing on the third installment of the ‘Don’ franchise. Although no official confirmation came from the cast or the director/producer, the rumors were ripe.

However, Farhan Akhtar has denied working on Don 3 and teaming up with SRK for any project. Akhtar himself is currently busy preparing for his role as a boxer in Rakeysh Om Prakash Mehra’s film ‘Toofan’ and also Shonali Bose’s ‘The Sky Is Pink’ that also stars Priyanka Chopra. The actor is also producing other films.

Nobody knows what SRK’s next project would be. However, it really needs to be a rather powerful one, especially after all his previous films failing to perform at the box office.
