A concert was held in Islamabad on Saturday – on a day when 345 new coronavirus cases were reported in Pakistan’s capital.
It was not just Mehwish Hayat, a number of other social media users also criticized the organizers over the irresponsible act.
“When the Batman of Islamabad @hamzashafqaat himself covid positive, the Gotham city enjoyed the concert by taking the opportunity of his absence and shattered all the SOP protocols. Ohh the irony screams!!,” tweet one social media user.
Another person in a tweet said, “On one side Govt is enforcing strict SOPs because #COVID and on other hand #Islamabad administration has given permission to hold #IslamabadTaste with live music concerts at the Convention Center? Carona is educated. It only comes in educational institutes.”
The criticism continued on the Twitter timeline in Pakistan:
