Pakistani model-turned-politician Abbas Jaffery is going to make history in Pakistani politics. As after winning general elections on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seat from PS 125, he is going to be the youngest MPA in Sindh assembly. The two-time LUX Style award winner, who has been making waves in Pakistani entertainment industry is now firm to change things in politics as well.
While talking to media the newly elected MPA, Abbas shared his views, “I have always wanted to help my community and make my country a better place to live in and I believe politics provided me with the perfect platform to deliver”.
Abbas has been participating in many community services and social welfare programs lately, and now being elected has an eye for solving public issues, he shared his views that, “Providing basic necessities in my constituency is on top of my list, we need clean water to drink, a transparent governing system, proper sewerage disposal and police bodies made from local personnel”.
People of his constituency have high expectations from their newly elected MPA, he had a tough competition as he has won from the Sindh Assembly seat of PS-125, Karachi defeating Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Abdul Haseeb after securing 30,687 votes. And after being victorious, Abbas Jaffery is heard, echoing his party’s slogan, “That is a step towards making Naya Pakistan a better Pakistan”.
