Pakistani celebs express grief and concern over earthquake

The 5.8 magnitude earthquake Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Punjab and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa on Tuesday has killed 38 people and more the 500 reportedly injured. Buildings and homes have collapsed in the powerful jolts leaving big cracks in the roads large enough to swallow cars.

The military relief works in the worst affected areas of the country are providing shelters, food, drinking water, and medical supplies to help the affected people.

Condolences pour in after the devastating quake hit, leaving many casualties in the country. Pakistani showbiz celebrities took to their social media and expressed their grief and concern over the tragedy.

Mahira Khan took to Twitter to offer her prayers for the quake affectees.

“Prayers for all those who have been affected by the earthquake,” she wrote.

Singer Ali Zafar has also expressed his grief over the loss of lives and destruction after the earthquake.

He wrote, “Saddened by the loss of precious lives and destruction during the #EarthquakeinPakistan.”

Actress Armeena Khan shares her thoughts and prayer for the victims of the earthquake. The actress has also shown her deep concern about the people of occupied Kashmir as the scale of damage there was not known.

“My thoughts and prayers for the victims of the earthquake. The images coming out are so shocking. Please stay safe everyone #earthquake”.

“And we don’t know the scale of the damage in Jammu Kashmir yet due to the comms blackout. May ALL the victims be safe.”

Actor Yasir Hussain shared a picture on his Instagram showing the destructed condition of a canal where he learned swimming.

Singer Asim Azhar requested people to pray for the quake victims.

“Ya Allah Khair.Please continue to pray for everyone. #earthquake”.

Cricketer Shahid Afridi, Shadab Khan, and Shoaib Akhtar also requested the people to help the victims of earthquake.
