Gemini Man trailer: Will Smith against Will Smith packs a punch!

The trailer of much-anticipated film Gemini Man is finally out! directed by the Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee, and written by David Benioff, Billy Ray, and Darren Lemke, the science fiction film features Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong in lead roles.

Gemini Man follows the story of an aging hitman who is targeted by a younger clone of himself. If reports are to be believed, the idea was originally conceived in 1997 and several filmmakers and actors have been associated with the project.

The intriguing trailer shows Will Smith playing the older self a 51-year-old, and the younger one a 23-year-old, Henry Brogan; an elite assassin, who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move.

Talking earlier about the film, Will Smith said, “When I first saw it. It was freaky. It was me. I was looking at the perfect 23-year-old version of me like somebody took all the flaws out. It’s cinematically astounding. This is going to change how movies are made, and how movies are seen.”

Smith also added that the reason he was able to play both the characters because of what he has learned as an actor over the years.

VFX supervisor Bill Westenhofer revealed that the clone of a younger Smith is a “completely digital creation, 100 percent driven by Will Smith’s performance capture”.

Gemini Man is slated to release on October 11th.
