BTS JIN’s farewell performance moves fans to tears ahead of mandatory military duty

BTS JIN’s fans were moved to tears on his farewell performance in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Friday, ahead of military duty.

Thousands were in attendance to see BTS Jin’s farewell performance on a ‘magical night’ alongside Coldplay on the new single The Astronaut.

Jin, 29, took to the stage to perform his song, co-written with singer Chris Martin, during one of Coldplay’s 10 concerts in Buenos Aires, part of their Music of the Spheres tour.

As reported, with the 600,000-capacity stadium full, a few hundred fans who could not get tickets watched the concert from outside.

 

 

 

 

The announcement of Jin’s participation in Coldplay’s concerts in Buenos Aires triggered a frenzy across the globe ahead of The Astronaut’s release.

Hundreds of JIN’s fans popularly known as ARMY, mostly women, had camped out for days in front of the stadium to get a seat.

Kim Seok-jin, professionally known as Jin, 29, the eldest of the septet, said he would sign up in December.

BTS’s Jin has talked about the delay of his upcoming enlistment in a recent live broadcast!

On October 28, Jin in a Weverse live broadcast as spoke about his new solo single “The Astronaut” which was released earlier in the day, revealed that within a few days of his return to Korea from Argentina, he will likely be writing documents for his upcoming military enlistment.

Jin shared, “I originally planned to enlist in June but in order to be courteous to fans, I waited until our October performance [in Busan]. I didn’t want a tearful performance so my [enlistment] announcement was delayed.”

Earlier this month, BIGHIT Music, the agency representing the boy band, shared an official statement that the members of BTS were gearing up to fulfill their military service.

The group, credited with generating billions for the South Korean economy, has said they hope to reconvene by 2025.
