Ashura processions conclude peacefully across the country

Ashura processions concluded peacefully across the country on Saturday evening.

Following the conclusion of Youm-e-Ashur (Muharram 10) processions, Shaam-e-Ghariban was observed at the pre-designated locations across Pakistan where Zakireen recalled events from Karbala and the teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and other martyrs of the Karbala tragedy.

Mourning processions in memory of the martyrs of Karbala Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his martyred companions are being taken out through traditional routes under strict security arrangements across the country.

Extraordinary security arrangements have been made on the procession routes across the country.

While mobile phone services were also suspended on the routes of the processions amid security concerns, the double riding of motorcycles has also been banned while the routes have been cordoned off with containers.

The Shia mourners in major cities and towns across the country participated in processions to honor and grieve the supreme sacrifice made by Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) grandson Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), his family, and devoted companions.
