The National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) on Friday has issues coronavirus guidelines to be implemented at the marriage halls countrywide.
In a statement, the NCOC said that marriage halls have the potential to increase positivity at a national level if standard operating procedures (SOPs) are not followed.
The guidelines formulated on Friday, which have been shared with the federating units, include:

1. 300 individuals for indoor gatherings and 500 individuals for outdoor gatherings.
2. The event should last two hours only and wrap up by 10 pm.
3. If found to be violating SOPs, marriage halls should be closed for a specific time and be fined.
Furthermore, in a separate statement issued, the NCOC said that large scale public gatherings are currently banned in most countries.
“However, if some public gatherings are unavoidable, then these must be organized with strict compliance of SOPs,” the statement said, adding that the National Coordination Committee was currently deliberating on these guidelines.
