Jamiat Ulma Islam (JUI) Fazalur Rehman faction is actively busy in the Azadi March with collaboration between most of the opposition parties. While many happenings from the caravan are frequently reported, it has also been noted that the march has zero representation of women.
Former finance minister and member of ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has criticized the opposition’s march that lacks the representation of one gender in specific.
“One thing is clear from what has been seen of the opposition march so far…. Their vision of Pakistan is one where women have no place in the public space,” tweeted Asad Umer on the matter.
