The commissioner of Karachi has been promoted to grade 22 as special secretary of commerce division.
A notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat and Establishment Division on Thursday stating that Dr Rajput’s promotion as special secretary of the commerce division.
Meanwhile, the post of Karachi commissioner for grade 21 bureaucrats has been vacated after the promotion of Dr Muhammad Sohail Rajput
Dr Rajput was appointed as Karachi Commissioner in August 2020.
For the second time, Dr Rajput has been transferred to the federal government. In 2018, he aslo served as an additional secretary for the finance ministry.
