The fugitive main suspect of the Lahore Motorway gangrape case, Abid Malhi, has been arrested from Faisalabad on Monday.
As being reported, Abid is being brought to Lahore from Faisalabad and according to Police his DNA test will be conducted.
The arrest details emerging reveal that Abid Malhi’s wife was given a SIM which she used to call him. Malhi told his wife in one of his calls to her that he would meet her in Faisalabad.
When the motorway rape suspect arrived in the city to meet her, he was nabbed by police officials in plain clothes, as per media reports.

According to Geo News correspondent Ahmad Faraz, Malhi was arrested without any torture or scuffle. He was apprehended easily and taken from Faisalabad to Lahore.
Making the confirmation of the main suspect’s arrest, Dr. Shehbaz Gil in a tweet shared, “Abid Malhi has been arrested. Inshallah, he will be punished according to the law”.
