Ramadan to be observed in Pakistan from tomorrow, with lockdown SOPs - OyeYeah News
The month of Ramadan will be observed in the country on Saturday with lockdown SOPs amid coronavirus pandemic.
However, some areas were to begin fasting on Friday, contrary to the official announcement by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
On Thursday, after the announcement by Mufti Popalzai of Peshawar’s Qasim Ali Khan Mosque, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s residents were to begin fasting on Friday.
The local committee of mosque met for the witnessing of the crescent moon and Mufti Popalzai said nine testimonies, including one by a woman, had been received.
KP government has ordered all shops except pharmacies throughout the province to shut down at 4 pm.
After setting Ramazan lockdown SOPs, the Sindh government has notified the following timings for its offices for the month of Ramazan.
The timings will be applicable to all offices of the provincial government except essential services and the departments engaged in dealing with the coronavirus emergency.
