Kabul presidential palace was on target of rocket attacks during Eid prayers in Afghanistan on Tuesday morning.
The video clip of the incident has gone viral on social media after being shared by state TV.
Video by national TV shows the moment rockets landed near the Presidential Palace during Eid prayers this morning.
President Ashraf Ghani and a group of other leaders continued the prayers in the garden marking the start of Eidul Azha.
Interior ministry spokesman Mirwais Stanikzai said three rockets appeared to have been fired from a pickup truck.
One did not detonate, he said.
“Based on our initial information, we have no casualties,” he added.
This was the rocket attack on Kabul since the Taliban launched a series of offensives to coincide with the withdrawal of the US and NATO foreign troops from the war-wracked country scheduled to be complete by August 31.
“The Taliban have proved that they have no will and intention for peace,” Afghan President Ashraf Ghani said in a speech afterward the eid prayer.
