Batting 1st, Pakistan were off a decent start as Haider Ali partnered with Omair Yousuf, to put on 67. The latter fell for 33. Rohail Nazir, captain on the day came in at 3rd and together the U19 pair, pressed ahead. After Rohail, Khushdil Shah provided the Pakistanis with a final push, with a swashbuckling 54 of 24 balls with five sixes. Pakistani side finished at 319/6 as Mohammad Nadeem and Fayyaz Butt picked up a brace each for Oman.
