Khabib Nurmagomedov, Eagle is not returning to the UFC!
The famed mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter announced his retirement following his stunning win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in October.
The former champion, a day after UFC President Dana White’s statement that he expects Khabib Nurmagomedov to unretire sometime in the future and even discussed potential matchups, has made it adamant that he will stick to his decision.
“I have no plans to continue fighting,” said Khabib in an interview with RT Sport.
“There will always be rumours about my comeback because Dana White or other promoters who could replace him in the future will always want me to fight.”
The 32-year-old on his early retirement said, “Of course, I am in my prime and there’s still tons of money I could earn, but I had a different goal.”
“My goal was to reach the summit and I did it”, he added.
