Shoaib Malik wants Babar Azam to quit captaincy and focus on his batting!

Former skipper Shoaib Malik has advised incumbent captain Babar Azam to voluntarily leave captaincy.

“Babar Azam is a great batter but we do injustice by putting his leadership qualities and batting ability on the same scale,” Malik said on a local TV channel.

“Those who are close to Babar should advise him to consider relinquishing the captaincy role,” he added.

Malik also gave the example of Sachin Tendulkar, who made a plethora of batting records after leaving India’s captaincy.

“This will help Babar Azam make more records on an international level as the pressure on him will be limited to his batting,” he concluded.
