CAA shuts down Turbat Airport for night flights operation for 5 months

Earlier, the CAA closed Nawabshah airport for flight operations for two months.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has shut down Turbat Airport for night flights operation for 5 months!

As reported, the decision has been made due to the up-gradation work of Turbat airport.

CAA informed all the airlines by issuing a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen).

As per the NOTAM, flight operations will be closed at Turbat Airport during the night from April to August 25.

Turbat International Airport has the largest land area within the province of Balochistan, and it is the second largest airport, after Quetta International Airport in the province.

The airport is located 5 km south of the city.

Earlier, the CAA closed Nawabshah Airport for flight operations for two months.

The Nawabshah Airport remain closed until May 23. The closure is due to a geotechnical study that needs to be carried out at the airport, CAA notified.

Only helicopters will be able to land and take off at the Nawabshah airport until May 23, it added.
