Jacinda Ardern reveals New Zealand’s gift to baby Sussex

New Zealand’s Prime Minister on Tuesday revealed the gifts that had been given to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to celebrate the birth of baby Archie Harrison, by New Zealand.

Speaking on a TV show, Jacinda Ardern who recently got engaged to her partner Clarke Gayford, told about the incredible donation to less-privileged parents who cannot afford to buy basic stuff for their new borns.

“I can tell you that on behalf of New Zealanders, we’ll be making a donation to Little Sprouts, which is an organisation that prepares baby boxes for families in need.” Said Ardern.

Revealing more about the gifts, Ardern said, “We’ll also be purchasing ten native trees that will be planted as part of trees that count especially for newborn babies and I think they’re planted around the time of Matariki.”

Earlier, the royal couple had already turned down the idea of sending material gifts for their new born suggesting that those who wished to send gifts for baby Sussex may contribute to the donations campaign on social media with #GlobalSussexBabyShower.

The New Zealand’s PM further said, “I hope New Zealanders think those are suitable gifts on their behalf in recognition of the new baby.”

The royal baby was born in the early hours of morning on May 6th, 2019.
