Mein Episode-1 Review: A beginning of an intense story about two strong headed persons

ARY Digital’s drama serial Mein has just started, and the story seems like a beginning of an intense story of two strong-headed persons. It says that it is a quest of me with me. Mein is penned downed by Zanjabeel Asim Shah and it is directed by Badar Mehmood, we have seen the same combo in drama serials Balaa and Cheekh before. For the very first time, Wahaaj Ali and Ayeza Khan are coming together as an onscreen couple. The other cast of Mein includes Ayzekah Daniel, Usman Peerzada, Agha Mustafa, Aijaz Aslam, Shahzad Nawaz, and others.

We see Ayeza Khan in a different role as Mubashara Jabbar, an arrogant and full of herself kinda girl who is self-centered. She is a fashionista and has a great sense of taste and style. In other words, Mubashara Jabbar is a perfectionist. Mubashara is married to Mohit (Agha Mustafa) who seems a simple kinda husband. Musbashra at times treats him like trash. She won’t care about his mother as well.

It is good to see Wahaj Ali as a carefree rich brat Zaid, he is handsome and charismatic. He is such a spendthrift that he spends his weekend cruising in Dubai just because he wants to have lunch at his favorite restaurant. Both Mubashara and Zaid seem headstrong personalities and both are self-centered and self-indulgent the interaction of both the characters is going to be super interesting.

Zaid and Mubashara’s fathers are business partners. Zaid is currently involved with a girl Aira (Ayezka Daniel) and both seem to be in love but they both might not going to end up together. Aira hails from a middle-class background and is an orphan she lives with her brother and sister-in-law. She is smart too the way she handled her rishta call is quite funny.

Mubashara is obsessed with her wedding anniversary preparations, she wants each and everything to be perfect. It is her second wedding anniversary. The night before the anniversary her husband gifts her a necklace which she does not approve of, and her husband promises another surprise. Zaid and Mubashara’s interaction on the function is the highlight of this episode, we see a sizzling chemistry between the two, and they both look good together sorry Aira you have to sacrifice. The episode ends with a bang when Mubashara gets her surprise of the day from her husband an envelope carrying divorce deed papers! Super intriguing! hooked!
