Robert De Niro Starrer The Irishman Soon to Release on Netflix

Big budgeted $160 million costings, Robert De Niro starrer, The Irishman is finally going to see the light of the day as streaming giant Netflix launches it on November, 27. The film was a part of the inaugural of the New York Film Festival, on Friday.

“Things got in the way,” director Martin Scorsese spoke to journalists as he shed light on the film’s long production haul of over 10 years.

It was 12 years ago that Scorsese and De Niro collaborated for adaptation of Charles Brandt´s book I Heard You Paint House. However, for years the two couldn’t find investors who would produce the project.

“I’m just happy we all got finally to do it because it did take a long time,” said De Niro. “We were lucky to get people to put up the money,” he added.
