Pervez Musharraf’s funeral prayer is to be offered in Karachi on Feb 7, Tuesday.

The funeral prayers of the former president will be offered at the Polo Ground in Malir Cantt at 1:45 pm in Karachi.

Former President of Pakistan, General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) passed away after a prolonged illness, at a hospital in Dubai on Sunday. He was 79.

Pervez Musharraf would be laid to rest at the Army Graveyard.

The grave of Pervez Musharraf has been prepared in the military cemetery.

Cantonment Board staff were given orders to prepare the grave of former President Musharraf this morning.

Strict security arrangements have been made around the military cemetery and the security arrangements of the cemetery are being handled by Rangers.

The mortal remains of the former president are being flown into Karachi from Dubai to Karachi this evening by a special plane,

The former president’s widow Sehba Musharraf, his son Bilal Musharraf and his daughter will also come along.

In order to facilitate his family in the process of repatriation, the Cons­ulate General of Pakistan in Dubai issued a no-objection certificate (NOC).
