Heavy rainfall in Rawalpindi Saturday washed out a much-anticipated clash between Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators, in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
The match was scheduled to start at 7 pm with the toss taking place half an hour before but the covers were still in the middle of Cricket Stadium with potholes all over the outfield.
The first match of the day between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi was also washed out.
Both teams were awarded a point each after the match was called off.
The development led Lahore Qalandars to finally open its account on the points table.
However, the defending champions will stay at the bottom with one point in seven games.
Babar Azam led Peshawar Zalmi sits in third position with seven points.
