Driver rams car into the gate of Masjid-al-Haram
A driver rammed his car into the outer-perimeter gate of the Masjid-al-Haram, Mecca on late on Friday night.
The accident was caught on camera and the video footage is circulating on social media.
A driver rammed his speeding car into Door 89 of the Grand Mosque at 22:25pm Saudi time.
According to the authorities, there were no casualties and the driver was taken into custody by the authorities. The man appeared in an “abnormal” condition, the state-run agency said.
As beign reported, the driver, is a Saudi citizen, and after being arrested he is referred to the public prosecutor for questioning.
