Human Rights Ministry Pakistan appoints first transgender person
The Ministry of Human Rights of Pakistan has appointed a first transgender person, the announcement was made by the federal minister Shireen Mazari on social media. Newly appointed Ayesha Moghul will be working as a resource person announced Shireen Mazari.
While sharing a photo taken in her office, Shireen Mazari wrote on Twitter:“Welcomed our first transgender Ayesha Moghul who is going to work in MOHR as a resource person”.

In her tweet, the federal minister also thanked UNDP Pakistan for its efforts in empowering the transgender community.
‘Transgender Persons Bill 2017’, passed by the government of Pakistan recently has been a landmark achievement to help the marginalized community of Pakistan.
