All markets, except shopping malls to reopen across Sindh from Monday with SOPs
Sindh government announces reopening of all markets except shopping malls from Monday, with special SOPs, after the federal government moves towards easing lockdown throughout the country.
On, Sunday Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah made the announcement of the reopening of community markets, retail outlets, and neighbourhood shops located in residential areas in Sindh from Monday, May 11.
As being reported, the decision has been taken during a meeting between the chief minister and traders which was held on Sunday.
All businesses except the essential ones will remain closed on Friday, Saturday and Saturday, the days will be marked as “safe days”.
CM has directed the shopkeepers to follow the SOPs and failing to do so will result in strict action against the violators.
He said that those shops where SOPs will not be followed will be sealed.
CM Sindh also urges citizens to practice social distancing.
According to the CM Sindh the following businesses will reopen from Monday (tomorrow) and will operate between 6 am and 4 pm, Mondays to Thursdays:
Construction activities and related manufacturing industries
Community markets
Retail outlets
Shops in rural areas
Neighbourhood shops located in residential areas
The following will remain closed:
Shopping malls, plazas, and all other sectors and businesses that were not cleared for reopening after May 9.
All educational institutions
Restaurants, hotels, marriage halls, and cinemas
Public gatherings, processions, congregations, sports events, and concerts will remain banned.
Public transport
Barbershops, beauty parlours, spas, game centres, gyms, cafes, social clubs, and parks will also remain closed.
