NEPRA announces an increase in power tariff by Rs4.74 for October!

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has increased the power tariff by Rs4.74 under the head of the fuel adjustment charges for the month of October.

The additional charges will be received in the bills of  December 2021.

The K-Electric consumers have been exempted from the increase.

Under the fuel adjustment charges, an amount of Rs60 billion will be received from the consumers.

According to a notification issued by Nepra, the increase comes on account of monthly Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for October 2021 due to excessive use of refined furnace oil (RFO), high-speed diesel (HSD), and liquefied natural gas (LNG) in power generation.
