No more meals to be served on domestic flights, announces CAA Pakistan

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has announced that meals will no longer be served during domestic flight operations in the country.

The new coronavirus SOPs have been issued by the NCOC in the wake of surging cases of the infection.

CAA has introduced new rules for domestic flights, chartered flights, and private aircraft flights. Coronavirus cases are on the surge in Pakistan as the country experiences the second wave of the virus.

“No meals to be served during all sorts of domestic flight operations. Compulsory wearing of masks by all passengers and the flight crew through the flight,” says the notification.

Earlier the passengers were allowed to take off their masks while eating.

The CAA had already banned serving hot beverages on flights earlier this month.

The National Command and Control Centre has also directed the CAA to ensure SOPs are followed.
