Paul Ritter, the Harry Potter, James Bond and Friday Night Dinner star dead at 54

Harry Potter, James Bond and Friday Night Dinner star Paul Ritter is dead aged 54.

As being reported the British actor had been suffering from a brain tumour.

According to his agent, the actor died on Monday.

In an official statement, the actor’s agent said: “It is with great sadness we can confirm that Paul Ritter passed away last night.

“He died peacefully at home with his wife Polly and sons Frank and Noah by his side. He was 54 and had been suffering from a brain tumour.

“Paul was an exceptionally talented actor playing an enormous variety of roles on stage and screen with extraordinary skill. He was fiercely intelligent, kind and very funny. We will miss him greatly,” the statement added.

Paul Ritter appeared in films including Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Quantum of Solace while he was best known for Friday Night Dinner, the hit Channel 4 show.

He also starred in the critically acclaimed 2019 series Chernobyl, as Anatoly Dyatlov.

Paul was nominated for an Olivier award in 2006 for his performance in Coram Boy, and a Tony award for 2009’s The Norman Conquests, which also starred Stephen Mangan and Jessica Hynes.

It should be noted that earlier a couple of days Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Mundell dies in Italy at 88.
